Meeting Planners
Thank you for thinking of Baltimore:
Baltimore is enjoying a second renaissance, with more than $1 billion
of development projects underway. Add to that an ever-changing variety
of attractions with new exhibits and services and you are guaranteed
to find something new to see and experience in Baltimore.
Convention Center:
Situated at the very center of Baltimore's renewed downtown is the
Baltimore Convention
Center, linked by overhead walkways to the Inner Harbor, hotels
and fine dinning on one end and just across the street from Oriole
Park at Camden Yards on the other. One of the most flexible, well-equipped
facilities in the country, the Convention Center has been fully
expanded. The expansion has allowed the facility to literally triple
in size.
- 300,000 contiguous square feet of exhibit space
- 26 covered loading docks with direct drive in access through
overhead doors
- 54 carpeted meeting rooms holding 85-1,600 people totaling 116,000
square feet
- 36,672 square foot multifunction hotel quality ballroom holding
3,500 people theater-style
Hotel:
Baltimore is serious about growth and has adopted an aggressive
strategy to provide additional hotel accommodations for the growing
number of convention and leisure visitors coming to town each year.
Currently Baltimore has approximately 6,500 hotel rooms in the downtown
area, the majority of which are within walking distance to the newly
expanded Baltimore Convention Center and all the major attractions.
There are several new major convention hotels on the drawing board
which are anticipated to come online within the next few years allowing
Baltimore to compete for approximately 80-85% of all convention
business.
